The FÉG Hungarian M44 is a Cold War-era military carbine based on the Soviet Mosin-Nagant M44 design. Manufactured in Hungary by Fegyver- és Gépgyár (FÉG), these rifles were produced for Hungarian military service during the early years of the Warsaw Pact era and are considerably less common on the U.S. collector market than their Soviet counterparts.

This example was manufactured in 1953 and is chambered in the powerful 7.62x54R cartridge. Featuring the M44’s distinctive permanently attached side-folding bayonet, full-length military wood stock, and rugged bolt-action design, it is an excellent example of a collectible Hungarian military surplus rifle.
