Minnesota Permit To Carry
ADS is now offering Certified USCCA Conceal Carry as approved by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA)! Sign up below to register for class and get your Conceal Carry Permit for Minnesota! Classes cover everything from Laws and Statutes, Physiological reactions in high stress situations, firearm safety and fundamentals, tips on how to carry, and how to avoid dangerous situations! Mama Bear Tactics
Confidence, marksmanship, and defense. This IS the premier ADS
womens only course! We will take you from not knowing how to
operate a handgun, to understaning how to shoot, how to carry,
and to instill a warrior spirit and mindset so you can protect your
Cubs! Talk with fellow Mama Bears during our social hour and
get ready to hit the range and train hard! This is a 3 hour course.

Red Dot Lab
Transitioning to the use of a Handgun red dot can be challenging. This course is designed to give you solutions to confidently and reliably find your Red Dot while maintaining marksmanship skills. Students will learn: Draw strokes, presentation techniques, dry fire drills for muscle memory, Red Dot zeroes, and holdovers. This is a 3 hour course.

Defensive Handgun 1
This program lays the foundation for future Handgun pistol training. Designed to have students understand their body mechanics and eye movement to establish the fundamentals of marksmanship with their Handgun. Within the course students will learn: Safety and range etiquette, Mechanics of Handgun operation, fundamentals of marksmanship, common mistakes, reloading, and maintenance of their firearm. This is a 3 hour course.

Defensive Handgun 2
The continuation of Handgun training, this course reviews safety protocols and introduces new techniques while reinforcing the lessons of marksmanship. Students will learn: Draw strokes and presentation, reloads, body mechanics and eye movement, target transition, conceal carry considerations, and cultivating a warrior spirit. This is a 3 hour course.
Students Requirements:
- Quality, reliable handgun
- 300 rounds of applicable ammunition
- 3 magazine minimum
- Hearing Protection (available from 2 if By Sea Tactical)
- Eye Protection (available from 2 if By Sea Tactical)
- Quality Holster

Defensive Carbine 1
This program lays the foundation for future Rifle training. Designed to have students understand their body mechanics and eye movement to establish the fundamentals of marksmanship with their rifle. Within the course students will learn: Safety and range etiquette, Mechanics of rifle operations, fundamentals of marksmanship, common mistakes, reloading, and maintenance of their firearm. This is a 3 hour course.
Students Requirements:
- Quality reliable rifle (AR, AK, or Pistol Caliber Carbine)
- Quality reliable optic
- 3 magazines minimum
- 100 rounds of applicable ammunition
- Hearing Protection (available from 2 if By Sea)

Defensive Carbine 2
The continuation of Rifle training, this course reviews safety protocols and introduces new techniques while reinforcing the lessons of marksmanship. Students will learn: Sling use, shouldering and recoil patterns, hold overs and height over bore, reloads, clearing stoppages, carry positions. This is a 3 hour course.
Students Requirements:
- Quality reliable rifle (AR, AK, or Pistol Caliber Carbine)
- Quality reliable optic
- 3 magazines minimum
- 300 rounds of applicable ammunition
- Sling
- Hearing Protection (available from 2 if By Sea)

Minnesota Youth Hunter Safety
We teach Minnesota Youth Hunter Safety at 2 If By Sea Tactical. This program helps young hunters build a foundation in safe, responsible firearm handling and hunting practices.

Get to know the skilled professionals at 2 If By Sea Tactical who are dedicated to providing top-notch training and guidance in tactical defense and firearm safety.
Austin Reville is a lifelong defender, trainer, and tactician with a deep-rooted passion for service and self-reliance. Born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, Austin developed early values of discipline and teamwork that carried him through his college years, where he played football at the University of North Alabama. His leadership and competitive spirit led him to a coaching career in college football, serving on staff at programs in Alabama, New York, and California. This experience sharpened his skills in strategy, mentorship, and performance under pressure—qualities that would define the next phase of his career.
In 2017, Austin relocated to Minnesota, where he transitioned into the private security and counter-terrorism sector. His work in this high-stakes environment included risk assessment, personal protection, and threat mitigation. Austin quickly earned certification as an NRA and USCCA firearms instructor, building on his lifelong interest in firearms—particularly historical and military models—and turning it into a professional calling. His deep knowledge, hands-on training style, and commitment to safety made him a trusted resource for everyone from first-time gun owners to seasoned professionals.
In 2019, Austin founded 2 If By Sea Tactical, a training and education company focused on real-world readiness and tactical proficiency. What started as a home-based business has rapidly grown into one of the region’s most respected names in firearms training and tactical preparedness. Austin’s mission has always been simple: to equip everyday people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to protect themselves and their communities.
Now, in 2025, 2 If By Sea Tactical is reaching a major milestone with the opening of its Indoor Range & Store. This state-of-the-art facility will feature:
- 8 indoor shooting lanes, each extending up to 25 yards
- A full-service retail store offering firearms, accessories, and tactical gear
- Cutting-edge virtual reality (VR) training powered by TI Training, providing immersive, scenario-based instruction used by military and law enforcement agencies across the country

Outside of his professional life, Austin is married to Taylar Wickman, a dedicated police officer in New Prague, Minnesota. Together, they share a commitment to public service, personal responsibility, and community protection.

Meet Mike Konyu, the founder of Aegis Defense Solutions and lead instructor for our comprehensive training programs. With over 20 years of experience as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) veteran and a certified DHS Explosives Expert, Mike brings unparalleled expertise to the field of firearms training, security consulting, and tactical education.
Mike’s distinguished career includes serving as a trusted advisor on explosives and counter-terrorism measures, ensuring the safety of communities and organizations. As a seasoned firearms instructor, he specializes in transforming apprehension into confidence; guiding students through tailored courses on handgun and rifle proficiency, including platforms like the AR-15 and AK. His hands-on approach emphasizes practical skills, safety, and situational awareness, empowering everyone from beginners to seasoned shooters.
Beyond firearms, Mike is a recognized security consultant with a focus on active shooter prevention, IED awareness, and defensive tactics. He designs vulnerability assessments, emergency evacuation plans, and staff training programs to enhance safety for organizations and congregations. His engaging teaching style and real-world insights make complex topics like surveillance, counter-surveillance, and risk mitigation accessible and actionable.
