How to Find the Newest Indoor Shooting Range in Minnesota
It's not always summer in Minnesota, so that's why God created indoor shooting ranges. Whether you're waiting for hunting season to start or you want to review gun safety in a controlled environment with one of our professional instructors, our doors are open in Minnesota's pleasant seasons and less pleasant months.
Pack Up Your Gun For New Prague's Indoor Shooting Range
Memorably located at 222 2nd Ave., New Prague, MN, 2 If By Sea Tactical has on-site parking and 8 lanes. Pick your gun (or use a rental), pack your safety equipment, and put in a range reservation before you hit the road, if you're a member. The range accepts pistols and all rifles up to .338 caliber (Lapua Magnum) and is open to the public.
Reaching the Range from West of the Cities (such as Anoka, Minneapolis, Shakopee areas)
Joining us for shooting sports from the northwest?
Hop onto 169 S. If there isn't any construction (good luck), take the exit at Jordan onto 21 S.
21 S takes you through Jordan and then past New Prague.
Take a left onto Main St. W., and look for the large signs for 2 If By Sea Tactical.
Take a right into 2nd Ave SW.
Your destination will be on the right. Even if you're terrible at skeet shooting, you can't miss the large black building.
From the St. Paul & Burnsville Areas
If you live on the Eastern side of the Cities, merge carefully onto 35E S when you're ready to come to the range (for guns, not archery -- yet).
Take exit 76 towards Elko New Market or exit 69 towards Lonsdale. Exit 76 is faster but Lonsdale has cheaper gas.
From Exit 76, at the roundabout take Natchez Ave (3rd exit).
Take a right onto 280th and continue straight as it merges into 19 W and then Main Street in New Prague. If you take the Lonsdale exit, you'll be on 19 W the whole time.
Take a left onto 2nd Ave SW and 2 if By Sea Tactical will be on the right side.
To the Range From the Southwest (i.e. Mankato)
If you're coming from the southwest, such as the greater Mankato area, you'll want to consider the scenic backroads that wind around some of Southern Minnesota's lakes.
But you can also take 169 N through St. Peter and Le Sueur, taking the exit for 19 E near Henderson.
Head right onto 19 E towards New Prague until you take a right onto 2nd Ave SW and reach our facility (on the right).
From Faribault and Rochester to the Range
On the east side -- Faribault, Owatonna, Rochester -- take 35 N up to Faribault, then 21 N / 13 N.
Take a right to pass through Montgomery until you reach Main Street W. Take a right, then another right onto 2nd Ave. SW.
It's one of Minnesota's indoor shooting ranges, so no sporting clays here, but we have an assortment of targets worthy of any club championship.
