Range Rules
Safety at indoor shooting ranges isn't negotiable. These Range Rules will be enforced.
NO EXCEPTIONS
-
Assume every gun is loaded. Always.
-
Never point a muzzle at anything you’re not willing to destroy.
-
Keep your finger off the trigger — outside the guard — until you’re on target and ready to shoot.
-
Muzzle always downrange. Always. No exceptions.
-
Follow all federal, state, and local gun laws.
-
Shooters must be 10+. Under 18? You need an adult with you.
-
Pregnant? Don’t enter the range. You may not shoot or watch within Freedom Hall.
-
All guns brought in must be unloaded and in a case — even if you’re carrying concealed.
-
Drunk or high? You’re gone. Immediately.
-
No food, drinks, gum, or tobacco in the shooting lanes.
-
Eye and ear protection? Mandatory. On before you step in. Stay on till you leave. One door at a time — in or out.
-
Case and uncase guns only at your shooting tray. No guns out of cases outside your lane.
-
Switching lanes? Unload. Case it. Then move.
-
Member’s guest? You share their lane. No solo runs.
-
Shoot from your booth. Only.
-
Range Officers can kick you out for unsafe handling. No debate.
-
See something sketchy? Tell a Range Officer. Now.
-
Gun jammed and loaded? Leave it on the tray. Get staff. Don’t walk off with it or fight it.
-
Only brass cased ammo is allowed. If you are renting one of our firearms our ammo is only to be used.
-
Leave your brass.
-
No cross-lane shooting. Aim at your own target.
-
Are you Class III Certified? Bring your paperwork. Keep it legal.
-
Only staff go beyond the firing line. Ever.
-
Use paper targets we approve. Nothing else.
-
Pick the right size target. Hang it at eye level. Shots must hit backstop — not floor, ceiling, or frame.
-
Hit something outside your lane or infrastructure? You pay for repairs. You may get kicked out if deemed intentional.
-
Done shooting? Unload. Case it. Then leave your station.
Break these rules? You’re out. Your group’s out. Membership? Gone. Safety isn’t negotiable.
