Despite the Chill, New Prague Shows Up Big for 2 If By Sea Tactical’s Grand Opening

May 17, 2025 may have brought cold temps and cloudy skies, but that didn’t stop over 600 guests from showing up to celebrate the grand opening of 2 If By Sea Tactical’s brand-new facility in New Prague. Held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the event marked a major milestone—not just in the business’s journey, but for the entire local firearms and tactical training community.

The real star of the show? Freedom Hall—our brand-new, state-of-the-art indoor gun range.

Freedom Hall: A Premium Indoor Shooting Range

After months of anticipation, we were proud to finally unveil Freedom Hall, our eight-lane, 25-yard indoor shooting range designed for shooters of all experience levels. Throughout the grand opening, guests lined up for guided tours of the space, with many blown away by the modern design and professional-grade features.

Each lane in Freedom Hall is outfitted with digitally controlled target systems, a steel containment trap, and comfortable shooting benches, allowing for everything from basic pistol drills to high-caliber rifle training, up to .338 Lapua Magnum.

Safety and comfort were top priorities in the design. One of the most appreciated features by both new visitors and longtime shooters was our air filtration system, which completely refreshes the air in the range every 90 seconds. Even in a full facility, the atmosphere remained clear, breathable, and comfortable.

As we guided tour groups through the space, we heard the same comments again and again—“This is top-tier,” “This feels like a professional facility,” and our favorite, “New Prague needed this.”

A Chilly Morning, a Warm Welcome

Though the weather didn’t cooperate, the energy on-site couldn’t have been better. The event officially began with a ribbon cutting ceremony, as co-founders Austin and Dale, joined by family, staff, and community leaders cut the ribbon and welcomed hundreds of supporters into the new 3,000+ square foot facility.

It was a full-circle moment for the founders, especially Austin who started the business back in October 2019 in the basement of his townhome. After moving into a 700 sq. ft. storefront in April 2022, the business has now officially opened a permanent home with ample space for retail, training, events, and of course - the indoor range.

Local Flavor & Community Support

Attendees were treated to some serious flavor thanks to the Market BBQ Food Truck, serving up warm, slow-smoked meats that hit the spot on a chilly spring morning. Sugar Rose Bakeshop added a sweet touch to the celebration, providing a table full of cookies that were just as much of a hit with the adults as they were with the kids.

Adding to the buzz was KCHEK Radio, broadcasting live interviews throughout the morning with The founders Austin, Dale, and Marketing Director Katie. Radio listeners across the area got to hear the story behind the business, the vision for the new facility, and what’s next for the 2 If By Sea Tactical team.

A special guest appearance was made by Mike, the founder of AEGIS Defense Solutions, who shared the exciting news that AEGIS will be teaming up with 2 If By Sea Tactical to expand training offerings and class opportunities in the months ahead.

More Than a Storefront

While Freedom Hall was the centerpiece, many attendees took the opportunity to explore the full range of new amenities now available. Our expanded retail area offers a wide variety of firearms, tactical gear, and accessories. Guests also got a peek inside The Matrix, our immersive HD virtual reality training room, and toured our two new classrooms, which will host everything from private instruction to community safety workshops.

It was clear from the excitement on guests' faces that the new facility has sparked something special—not just in tactical training, but in community connection.
