Early voting in Texas is officially underway — and for gun owners, this is a moment that matters. GOA-Endorsed Candidates Matter
Gun Owners of America (GOA) has released its list of endorsed candidates in Texas — leaders who have demonstrated they will not compromise when it comes to protecting the right to keep and bear arms.

Congressional District 2: A Clear Contrast
In Texas CD 2, voters face a defining choice. State Representative Steve Toth has built a reputation as a principled constitutional conservative who has consistently opposed measures that weaken Second Amendment protections. In contrast, Congressman Dan Crenshaw has shown he is not a 2nd Amendment absolutist with his openness to federal “Red Flag” or Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) policies following high-profile shootings.
Red Flag laws allow firearms to be seized based on accusations — often before a person has been convicted of any crime. For many gun owners, that raises serious due process concerns and flips the presumption of innocence on its head. For those who prioritize an uncompromising defense of constitutional rights, this race carries significant weight.
Congressional District 23: Drawing a Line
In CD 23, Brandon Herrera is challenging incumbent Tony Gonzales. Herrera has positioned himself as a strong, unapologetic defender of the Second Amendment, stepping into the race out of concern that core constitutional liberties are too often negotiated away behind closed doors. For gun owners who believe the Second Amendment must be defended aggressively — not cautiously — this race represents another critical decision point.
