AS Designs Shows Off Super Safety/FRT at SHOT Show

Shot Show is an excellent opportunity for us to take a look at the latest offerings in the gun industry.  Often, that lets us look at things that we cannot get in certain places in the United States.  This may be due to the fact that it is a military/LEO only offering, something from overseas that is not imported to the U.S., or due to state regulations.  AS Designs is one of those products.

AS Designs is one of the main companies that has begun developing Super Safeties (A different way to do a Forced Reset Trigger) and their ARC Trigger systems for a wide variety of platforms.  Since the inception of the FRT from Rare Breed, many companies have begun working on their own version.  AS Designs is one of the best.          

2 If By Sea Tactical had an amazing opportunity to talk with the owner Matt about their newest offerings in this market that was unveiled at Shot Show 2026. This was their new HK and MKE line of firearms.  This will allow the shooter to increase their shooting speed to “mimic” a full-auto fire rate.

As with all FRTs and Super Safeties, these triggers only simulate a machine gun.  The internal function of the trigger does not work as a real machine gun would with an Auto Sear.  These designs allow you and me have the fun and feel of a machine gun without the burdensome cost of the host platform.  Unfortunately, the National Firearms Act and the Hughes Amendment of 1986’s Firearm Owner’s Protection Act have priced the average gun owner out of these weapons.

Companies like AS Designs are doing the amazing work of helping us experience some of these firearm platforms as they were originally designed in a safe and legal manner.  One of the great things about AS Designs is they are constantly introducing new triggers for a host of different guns as many guns on the market have yet to get a Super Safety or FRT for them. 

Matt at AS Designs is attempting to put a trigger out for every platform a shoot could want.  At Shot Show we got an up close look at their ARC Trigger for AR-15’s and their Palmetto State Armory JAKL Trigger.  They had also just recently released their Sig Sauer MPX/MCX trigger once again proving that they were ahead of the curve by offering triggers for a multitude of platforms.   It is opportunities like this that Shot Show gives people in the industries a chance to talk directly with those doing the innovation.
