We here at 2 If By Sea Tactical hope that the Supreme Court will step in and restore our God Given Rights and overturn such laws as this.  With the Supreme Court conferencing five 2nd Amendment cases on Thursday December 4th, we hope they will take up all of the cases.  Far to often, the Supreme Court has passed on 2nd Amendment cases and have allowed Circuit Courts like the 9th Circuit erode the rights that are enshrined in our constitution.

We are changing things up here at 2 If By Sea Tactical.  Just taking a brief break from the litany of historical firearms that we have at our shop.  We want to talk about what makes us more than just another gun range. 

The Trump Administration has struggled with gun owners.  Seen, rightfully so, as wishy washy on gun rights despite campaign promises. The administration is looking to right the ship and bolster their bone fides by establishing a 2nd Amendment Rights Division within the DOJ.  What can we make of this?

There is an old saying that there are only two truths in life, death & taxes.  This week I would add a third constant, government defending governmental power.  With the recent brief filed by the Department of Justice under Pam Bondi in Gun Owners of America’s (GOA) lawsuit to remove items form the National Firearms Act.  The DOJ and the Trump Administration as signaled that they are, at least in part, in favor of some gun control in the United States. 

We here at 2 If By Sea Tactical, hope Mr. Cekada can help guide the Justice Department towards more pro-freedom arguments and support us gun owners and the 2nd Amendment.  He is given an unenviable task.  One that the ATF has repeatedly failed with deadly consequences.   We are praying we will be a voice of reason and help us seize on the window we have for this short period of time to roll back restrictions.   

The United States military has a long history of struggling with weapon procurement. The adopted weapon platforms of the United States usually fall within two categories. One, they are poor choices with serious flaws. Two, they are implemented well ahead of when they are ready. The Springfield Armory Model 1898 rifle falls into the former category.
