Trump Administration Awards Unprecedented Grant to Strengthen 2nd Amendment Support

Despite the checkered history of the Trump Administration when it comes to 2A issues. However, we here at 2 If By Sea Tactical do want to be fair when it comes to giving the proper “atta boys” when they are deserved. We will always write and present issues through a Pro-2A lens. One might even dare call this through a Pro-Constitutional Lens but, I digress.
The Trump Administration did do something great this week as it pertains to firearms, by award a two-year grant for $908,991 to the University of Wyoming’s College of Law. This was done to help develop a whole new line of Pro-2A teachable content. These tools would include instructional videos, webinars, and various other methods that schools around the country can use to further the 2nd Amendment.
This is the first of its kind grant. The Federal Government has, at least in the modern era, taken a decidedly anti-2A stance. This is in large part due to the natural desire for government to control its citizenry. This is precisely why the 2nd Amendment was enacted in the first of. So the government can only rule with the consent of the governed. It is harder to enact tyranny when the governed are armed and trained.
This grant is designed to build material to teach just that. The real question will be how many schools around the country will start utilizing the materials developed out of this grant. The University of Wyoming is a perfect university to lead this initiative as Ashley Hlebinsky, their Executive in the Firearms Research Center, also curates the Cody Firearms Museum. She has been a producer of several Discovery and History Channel shows that have gone on to become big hits.
Those shows include “Mountain Men: Ultimate Marksmen”, “Master at Arms”, and “Man vs. History”. She will be one of the main individuals helping guide the use of these funds and directing the content it will ultimately produce. It is a positive step in teaching those in our education system the meaning behind the 2nd Amendment and why the Founding Fathers where so adamant that it be included in our Constitution.
